For as long as I can remember, mascara has been the one makeup product that I can’t be without. I feel as though I look lifeless without it and once it’s on, I’m ready to take on the day. The main things I look for in a mascara are lengthening and
separation because I don’t care for the look of clumpy eyelashes and I think long healthy-looking lashes are so pretty with any look.
I was still on the hunt for the perfect mascara until January 2020. For many months before that, I was continuously seeing ads on YouTube videos and in my Facebook newsfeed for Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara. These ads made claims that the product is easy to use and creates the look of lash extensions with just one or two coats. I had only ever purchased drugstore mascaras at this point, but decided to give Thrive’s mascara a try after reading several glowing reviews. I was also excited to buy from a brand that has such a wonderful reputation for charitable giving. You can find out more about Thrive Causemetics in my previous post here.

Ease of application
Applying this mascara is a breeze. The short rubber bristles collect just the right amount of product to create perfectly separated beautiful lashes. I took one point away in this category because I do need to apply several coats. This wouldn’t be necessary for everyone, but I don’t have very naturally full eyelashes so I need to take the time to build it up. It is important to note that when applying this mascara, you must complete one eye at a time. Once it dries, you can’t add more product without it getting clumpy. I don’t see this as a negative, it is simply something to remember. I’d also like to mention that this mascara does a wonderful job of holding a curl. I always curl my eyelashes first, but the curl doesn’t drop with this product like it would with others.
As I mentioned earlier, one of the main things I look for in a mascara is lengthening. Most mascaras will give you added length, but the ones I used before this one often became clumpy before I could build as much length as I wanted. With Thrive’s mascara, you can build as much or as little length as you wish to get the desired effect. My eyelashes look perfectly lengthened and fanned out every time I use this mascara. In the photos below, my left eye has no mascara applied and the right eye has Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara applied.
A very interesting feature of this mascara is that it uses tubing technology. It is referred to as a tubing mascara. This formula creates a film (or “tube”) over each eyelash from root to tip, so it will not flake. Also, if you get caught in the rain, you won’t end up with raccoon-eyes! I will discuss this further in the next section.
Ease of removal
This is a great mascara to apply and also to wear throughout the day, but my favorite part of this product is how extremely easy it is to remove. With every other mascara I’ve ever owned, I’ve had problems with my eyelashes falling out when I wash my eye area at the end of the day. It is rare that I have that problem anymore because Thrive’s mascara slides right off my lashes. That is because, as I mentioned in the previous section, this is a tubing mascara. Instead of the product coming off in small bits that are hard to wash off, this tubing mascara comes off in literal tubes without any rubbing or special eye makeup remover. If you’ve never used a tubing mascara, this concept probably seems quite strange. I know it did to me! It’s something you have to use and see for yourself to fully understand.
As I mentioned previously, I only purchased drugstore mascaras before trying Thrive’s mascara. I had probably never spent more than $10.00 on a mascara. This product is expensive at $24.00 per tube, but in my opinion it is 100% worth it for all the reasons listed above. I also think it’s a better value than some other luxury mascaras because it contains more product than the average mascara which contains about 0.30 oz. I couldn’t take away more than one point for this category because this product is just so high quality.
This is the first product review I’ve written for IntegriBeauty and I chose to begin with Thrive’s mascara because it is one of my favorite makeup products I’ve ever owned. This is by far the best mascara that I have ever used. I’m on my second tube and have a backup for when I run out. That’s significant because I don’t buy high-end makeup very often. I don’t say any of this lightly, as I know this is an expensive product and there are a lot of other good mascara options out there at more affordable prices. That being said, none of them can compete with Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extension Mascara.
Thank you for reading my first product review and please comment below if you’ve tried Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extension Mascara. I’d love to know if you enjoy it as much as I do!
